Me and my family stayed at two bed room pool villa. Nice and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful even the gardener when he saw that we were having the problem with the door lock then he offered himself to call the mechanical guy checking for us. Food is delicious especially the Italian restaurant , Casa Vino. It's a must. Dean judkowsky
Rooms are more like a guest house, need to upgrade in order to get a decent room. Nothing like the pictures.
The grounds of the hotel are nice, good service. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Luca Laroni
Very nice place, close to the river. Good quality of food. Nice swimming pool. A good place to relax. Ka Em
Nice Boutique hotel located next to the river. Great view at breakfast, but bit far away from the City centre James R Vierling
Nice ambience, staff, river view, and restaurants. Patricia Blázquez
We purchased a trip from the Legend hotel (which was significnstly msrked up by hotel) which was willfully mis-sold. The trip in question mentioned a visit to the Mynamar Hill Tribe, but actually visited a imitation village in Mynamar, where imposters with fake neck rings (and normal length necks) pretended to be the tribespeople. When we challenged the hotel about this, the manager on duty, Nongluck admitted that the real Hill Tribe village was a different location to the one visited on the tour trip. Despite the fact that we had identified their willfull misrepresentation of the trips the hotel is selling (and marking up) the hotel refused to give us a discount, and charged the full amount. The Legenmd trip cost 10,000 Baht, about $250, for which we would expect a genuine tour. The following day we changed tourist guide to a local tour operator not connected with the hotel, which we would thoroughly recommend, it is called Golden Triangle, and is based in Chiang Rai.chat chatlek

Memory of a Legend
Like an abandoned estate of opulent times past, this property has a bit of sweet sadness to it. When pulling up to the hotel and walking to the lobby, theres a tangible sense of faded glory.
The Garden bungalows are lovely with a canopied bed, outdoor lounge area with spa, and large shower room. The handmade artisanal ceramic sinks are beautiful, yet I would have liked the wall of french doors in the shower room to have not been nailed closed and shuttered and the enclosing gardens to be more lush.
Morning mists hover over the river as it rolls by the dining area in the morning, a serene view. The bus loads of tourists jostling to eat in the buffet area before their timed departure... not so serene.
I hope that The Legend will honor it's potential and hire an inspired designer to renovate the property. Thailand is rich with local artists and landscape designers that could breathe inspiring life into the front courtyard, reception lobby, and surrounding areas to the beauty it hints at.Debbie Johnson
Very beautiful, secluded hotel on the banks of the Kok River. The entry, lobby, and pool area are gorgeous and the garden is lovely at night. The room was nice, with a funky shower room. Not sure what the giant bowl of dirty looking water was - maybe to cool down or if plumbing stops? The workout area is in bad shape - cobwebs, rust, etc. I'd skip the gym there. Service at the beer garden was non-existent so we gave up. It wasn't clear where we were supposed to order. However we had a FANTASTIC Italian meal at the Wine Casa restaurant. Highly recommend that, especially the fresh pasta with prawns in saffron cream sauce.beike dallinga
We really liked the rooms we were in, it was specious and clean. The service wat great, we could go to the reception at anytime with our questions. We did a Boat Trip along the Kok River and spend a lot of time at the grand swimming pool.
