Paid MYR366 (approx USD86) for a night including taxes to get a Premium Deluxe room. Still not exactly sure what is the difference between a Deluxe and a Premium Deluxe besides the extra floor size as stated on Agoda but what we got were:
1. Good stuff - complimentary drinks / cocktail / snacks at lounge from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. The kids enjoyed the finger food. I enjoyed my free bottle of Singha.
2. Good stuff - came back to the room and was suprised by a complimentary plate of local cakes (2 pieces).
3. Lost for words - wet bathroom floor after a shower. The water will leak into the dry area where the sink and WC are. We needed at least 3 pieces of floor mats. I hate wet bathrooms, but I did not complain as we were only there for a night.
4. Lost for words - the room was dusty. My kids were sneezing non-stop.
5. Good stuff - the usual courteous and friendly personal service from the Thai staffs.
Overall, not really happy mainly due to the price. Going by Bangkok's standard, I'm pretty sure we could get a suite there.YL TAN
Nice hotel with good local street food surrounding. However hotel is bit old. Would be good if they can carry out a renovation to modernise the interior. Great hotel and Great Team...! Will return to stayYong Chun Kit
I like the hotel because of its location, which is just next to a few shopping malls. Street stalls are just surrounding the hotel and there are variety of local foods. Good for food lovers!
Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful.
But I strongly think the hotel need refurbishment. The towel are so worn out that you find not comfortable using it. Something need to be done by the hotel immediatelyZashnain Zainal
I actually like this location. The hotel is in a strategic place. The reception service is good and friendly, while the room was comfortable with a clean bathroom. The view from the room wasn't much, but was not important to me.
I didn't eat at the hotel. There are many places to eat around the hotel, and there are many banks, sundry shops, cafes and night spots.Davin Yap
Strategically located. Nice and clean room. Air conditioner is very good! Sadly parking lot is a little dirty looking. Good amount of security in the parking lots. Facility is good too! Just the awkward elevator. Different elevator for hotel and carpark. Swee Chye Loh
Hotel is located in the city centre. Easy to navigate around and to other areas.
There's gym, swimming pool and spa/massage in the hotel as well. If you are craving for some drinks, there's a bar/lounge.
Room is clean and price is reasonable.Beh WoeiTong
It is well kept and clean. Strategic location if anyone want a bustling Hat Yai night life. Surrounded by shopping complex and restaurants, can save a bit of taxi fees, almost everything is walking distance.Derric FKL
Damm slow cleaning service, damm wait for 3 hours also not done yet, 6-8 receptionist at counter but no one will follow up the cleaning service schedule and keep on chatting, feel very disappointed with this kind of service that I get from so call 4 star hotel...
NO more next time... BADChip Rothenberger
We have been staying at this hotel for many years, and it just keeps getting worse. There is no one to help with the bags, the bathrooms are very outdated, and the air conditioning sounds like a jet plane taking off, even on the lowest fan speed. It is very expensive for the lack of service you receive. We will not stay here again.Chee Kiong Tan
Being the iconic landmark of Hat Yai, Centara stands right at the heart of the busiest street in the city. Rows of vendors and hawkers line both sides of the street thronged by tourists in drove. In the evening food stalls were setup by the street showcasing their most popular local delights. You won't have to travel at all to fill up your stomach. I last stay at this hotel some 20 yrs back but the experience is as intriguing as before. This property boast a complete amenity of a 5 stars hotel and a service level that matches every expectation.Kenneth SYQ
Nice place with quite decent rooms for a reasonable price. The breakfast provided is also quite decent. Staff are extremely helpful and it comes with free WiFi that's pretty fastMark Epicurean
doesn't really deserve 4 stars. is this really the best in hat Yai? very old sheets and worn room. restraunt ok but nothing else in the area.Timothy Wimala
Very nice local chain hotel. Greatly improved over my last visit in 2014. Staff here exhibit genuine care and hospitality. If this is the rate of improvement, things can only get better.Desmond Tan
Centara is a hotel that provides comfortable and clean rooms. It is well located in the heart of Hat Yai however it is quite an old hotel. The staff are courteous and understand basic English. Car park is relatively safe with security guards taking care of the place.Jonathan Prasad
Staff are inattentive and border line rude. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, food is hit and miss. The first night I had a steak. It was very tasty but it was served cold. I also had a tuna sandwich that made my whole mouth burn.
I probably would not stay here again.Soo ym
While waiting at the hotel reception to check into our rooms we were being serve with cold drinks. The hotel staff do communicate well in English so we manage to check in with no hassle. The rooms is clean & spacious even manage to put in an extra bed. Centara Hotel is just perfect for us cos within walking distance is where you will find food, clothes, shopping mall, McDonald & Watson's & others. Tuk tuk is available right in front of the hotel should you need to go anywhere.
