Here for a just few more hours after two nights and already beginning to miss Novotel Kata and its environs. Such a fabulous place, this, managed and run by an even more fabulous team. The location and service are excellent. The smiles all around really touch your heart. Shall be back.David Purdy
Not a bad word to say about this hotel, albeit we never eat anything so cannot comment on food. Friendly staff, nice big rooms, good swimming pool on 2 levels. Gym was small but ok for holiday workoutKatie Codd
Nice hotel, we had a lovely room overlooking the beach, food was lovely but the food and drinks in the hotel are a bit overpriced. On a very steep hill but this didn't bother us at all as we already knew this and it was in a great location close to everything. We brought our 4 year old and managed ok with him. Needs a little touch up with the decor as it was a bit worn , the pool was pretty cloudy when we were there and there was a smell of drains a lot of the time near the restaurant. This is in a lot of places in the area though so may not be helped. Otherwise would have given 5 stars . We still really enjoyed our stay here.Jerry Diakou
It was our third trip back to the Avista. The last time we were here it wasn't under the Novotel banner.
It was disappointing from the time we arrived.
Check in kept us there for 30min after a 9 hour flight and a taxi ride that the driver thought it was ok to do her chores while dropping us off (organised through the hotel mind you) during our stay we asked the front desk a few questions but Pia the lady at the front desk was more interested in replying to texts than to provide the information we required.
The room was nice but the bed sheets were worn and had holes (have photo but can't upload on here for some reason)
We were so looking forward to the breakfast only to be once again disappointed since the last time we were here. Everything was cold, the bacon, the fried rice, sausages, vegetables lucky the omelette station was there or else the breakfast would have been worthless. I even spoke to the Executive Chef about the risks with serving food at such temperatures and no action was taken simply an excuse.
Overall not worth the price.Fabio Diglio
Very nice resort (spacious rooms, swimming pool, spa, gym, library, etc) in Kata, Phuket.
Moreover ... the traditional Asian hospitality: everything guarantees you a perfect stay.
PROS: Pretty close to the beach and to the main road of Kata.
CONS: To get to the resort, you should "climb" a 100/150 m hills. Not an issue for young and healthy people.
