Khao Pla Noi and 30 km of trails to the Myanmar border

Khao Pla Noi (เขาปลาน้อย) is a remote border police base on the Myanmar border. It is located in the district of Sai Yok (ไทรโยค), Kanchanaburi (กาญจนบุรี) province. This track takes you from an elevation of 200m to 1,000m over 30km, with the steepest climbs in the last 10km. I was told this track used to be gnarly and challenging for riders. Unfortunately, the trail was renovated in recent years and it’s now a wide trail that can be ridden relatively fast! My visit was during the driest months of the year, and most of the water crossings were just rocks.

If you want more of a challenge, the main trail splits into single tracks in a few places, which is fun, and I can understand why this place has such a great reputation. The attached GPX has the normal trail, but feel free to explore! :)
