Purakam Jungle Riding - Suan Pheung, Ratchaburi

Deep in the Suan Phueng District of Ratchaburi Province, a small Karen village marks the start of a fun jungle trail. The first half of this 8 km GPS track is a pleasant mix of dirt and pavement leading to Purakam (พุระกำ) Village. From the river crossing in the village, the trail turns a bit wilder, with many river crossings and thick jungle. The GPS track stops in an open field, but the trail goes a bit further; I remember reaching a very simple military outpost before turning around.

Important Note: As of February 2026, access to the village has been restricted by the military due to the ongoing conflict in Myanmar. Please plan ahead.
